The Idea behind the FLL Hubs
or Hotspots A FIRST LEGO
League hub is a place where FLL teams can goto, to practise during
peak season and to ready themselves for competition. Personal from the
TUT will visit the hubs frequently during the 8 weeks of preperation
to support the teams.
We have decided to create community
hubs for FLL, due to the escalating cost of importing FLL challenge
sets. We hope to give more teams and learners the opportunity to be
able to participate in FLL challnges this way. It is a bsic way of
sharing the challenge set between different teams and we hope that the
idea will proof to be cost effective in the future.
- Each school will have to schedule
teams from the surrounding area for practises.
- A hub cannot refuse any team in
their community access.
- The team have to phone the school
in advance to schedule practise times
