The primary sponsor for FLL South
Africa is F'SATIE at the Tshwane University of Technology. They have
already recognize that the country need more engineers and scientists.
However to really make FLL a special
program in South Africa we will need a lot more involvement from
businesses. Financial sponsorships enable us to grow the program and
reach more learners at a regular basis.
FLL offer Sponsorship opportunities
on several levels:
• Global Sponsorship
requires support of the program with a financial or in-kind
donation which will benefit all FLL Operational Partners globally.
Examples are the recent donation of the FLL Playing Field mat by 3M,
Duracell sponsoring 1,5V batteries and LEGO Company operating the
global FLL Web Community. On Global level it is also an opportunity to
sponsor the annual FLL Challenge.
• International Sponsorship
requires support of the program in more than one country in a
way that benefits all FLL Operational Partners in the region. Examples
are Statoil, ABB, Microsoft and Danfoss who all support the FLL
program across Scandinavia .
• National Sponsorship
requires support of the program on National level. An example
is Singapore 's National Science and Technology Board.
• Tournament Sponsorship
requires support of a FLL Tournament. Examples are Honeywell
who has supported the Minnesota state tournament every year since 1999
and General Motors who has done the same in the state of Michigan .
• Team Sponsorship
requires support of one or more FLL Teams.
Sponsors will be recognized in media
such as the FLL web site, at Tournaments, in printed materials, on
awards etc. according to their sponsor status.
